
BALOCHISTAN: Pakistani security forces confirmed the killing of two of their personnel in a gunfight in Pasni area of Gwadar, while claiming to have killed four armed individuals during the same operation, officials said.
According to official sources, security forces launched an operation in Pasni following intelligence reports about the presence of armed individuals in the area. Two military personnel were killed during an exchange of fire, authorities confirmed. Forces claimed four armed individuals were also killed during the operation.
However the casualty figures of armed individuals could not be independently verified by local sources or media.
In a separate incident in the Talao area of Duki, two personnel belonging to a private security company were wounded when a landmine exploded after a motorcycle ran over it, Duki police said.
Police confirmed the wounded personnel were assigned to provide security escort to coal trucks operating in the area. Both were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
No group has claimed responsibility for either incident at the time of publication.
