Retired Soldier Dost Muhammad Goes Missing After CTD Detention in Dera Ghazi Khan

DERA GHAZI KHAN: A retired Pakistani Army soldier working as a security guard at a military cement factory has been subjected to enforced disappearance after being taken into custody by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel in the Shadan Lund area of Dera Ghazi Khan, according to family sources.

The missing individual has been identified as Dost Muhammad, approximately 45 years of age and a resident of Taunsa Sharif, Dera Ghazi Khan. After retiring from the Pakistan Army, he had been serving as a security guard at the military cement factory located in the Shadan Lund area.

According to family members, CTD personnel took Dost Muhammad from inside the factory premises on 23 April 2026 at approximately 5:30 pm, after which no information regarding his whereabouts or condition has been made available.

The family confirmed the incident and demanded that Dost Muhammad be immediately produced before a court or that his safe recovery be ensured by the relevant authorities.

No official statement acknowledging the detention or providing any information on his legal status had been issued by the CTD or any government authority at the time of publication.
