QUETTA: The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) has urged families of individuals subjected to enforced disappearances to formally register their cases through legal procedures.
In a video message, VBMP Secretary General Hooran Baloch called on affected families to come forward and submit complaints through the organization so that cases can be processed and forwarded to relevant authorities, including the commission established to investigate missing persons.
She emphasized that it is the responsibility of families to take legal steps for their missing loved ones, noting that enforced disappearances have become a widespread issue in Balochistan, affecting numerous households.
According to the message, updated procedures have been introduced for filing complaints. Families are required to submit applications through a close relative, along with necessary documentation, including a copy of the national identity card. In cases involving minors, a B-form and family registration certificate are also required.
Additional requirements include providing the identity card numbers of the missing person’s parents, passport details if applicable, and information about eyewitnesses along with a description of the incident.
VBMP stated that once the forms are completed, they will be submitted through organizational channels to the relevant commission and authorities for further action.
The organization reiterated its call for families to come forward and complete the required documentation to ensure their cases are formally registered.
