Balochistan: The Spokesperson for Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) Major Gwahram Baloch, has claimed responsibility for attacks in Mand and Paroom, stating that two security personnel were killed and several others injured.

In a statement the group said its fighters carried out an improvised explosive device (IED) attack on April 9 in the Kudomb area between Redheg and Mahir in Mand. According to the BLF, the attack targeted personnel deployed for the security of a Pakistani army convoy, resulting in one personnel killed on the spot and several others wounded.

The group further claimed that on April 8, its fighters attacked a Frontier Corps (FC) camp in Tobha, located in the Paroom area of Panjgur. The attack was reportedly carried out while personnel were installing a security fence around the camp. The BLF stated that one FC personnel was killed and two others were injured.

In addition, the BLF stated that it had arrested a police officer DSP, Anwar Ali, along with his son during an operation last month in the Karkh area of Khuzdar and has now released them. The group said the release was carried out on what it described as humanitarian grounds.

The statement added that the officer was warned against actions that could harm the group’s movement, while asserting that its struggle is directed against what it termed a “colonial system.”
