Karachi: Man Forcibly Disappeared from His Home by Pakistani Forces

KARACHI: A man identified as Mir Iqbal, son of Haider Baloch, was forcibly taken from his home in Karachi late at night on April 2, 2026.

According to family members, the incident took place at approximately 11:30 PM in Faqir Colony, Umar Baloch Mohalla, when a large number of personnel, reportedly from Pakistani intelligence agencies and the Karachi Rangers, entered the house by scaling the walls and detained him.

Relatives stated that during the operation, members of the household were subjected to physical abuse, and all mobile phones present in the home were confiscated.

Since the incident, Mir Iqbal’s whereabouts remain unknown. The family says they have not received any official information regarding his location or condition.

They have described the incident as an enforced disappearance and expressed serious concern over his safety.

The family has demanded his immediate release and called on authorities to provide information about his whereabouts. They have also appealed to human rights organizations to take notice of the case and push for urgent action.
