BRG Claims Responsibility for Attacks on Jaffar Express in Shikarpur and Police Checkpost in Sibi

QUETTA: The spokesperson for Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) Dostain Baloch, have claimed responsibility for two coordinated attacks carried out on March 17, 2026, targeting Pakistani state infrastructure.

According to the BRG, fighters detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) against the Eid Special train, the Jaffar Express, in Shikarpur during the night. The explosion caused significant damage to the train and the railway tracks, disrupting train services in the region.

In a separate operation on the same day near Sibi on Talli Road, BRG fighters engaged police personnel at a checkpoint. The personnel and government vehicles present were targeted, causing casualties and damage according to the organization.

Through the media, the BRG issued a stern warning to police personnel, urging them to refrain from taking action against Baloch fighters. The spokesperson stated that any loss of life resulting from future confrontations would be the responsibility of the authorities.
