QUETTA: Dr. Shalee Baloch, organizer of the Baloch Women Forum, has highlighted the continued disappearance of student leaders Zahid Baloch and Asad Baloch, stating that both have remained missing for the past twelve years after being forcibly disappeared during their student days.

Sharing her remarks on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Dr. Shalee Baloch said that since their disappearance, no information has been provided regarding their fate or whereabouts.

According to her statement, the families of Zahid and Asad Baloch have endured more than a decade of uncertainty and suffering, living between hope and despair while continuing to seek answers about their loved ones.

She noted that during these years the families have pursued peaceful protests, legal avenues, and appeals at both national and international levels, including approaches to the United Nations, demanding accountability and information about the missing student leaders. However, she said that no progress has been made in determining their whereabouts.

Dr. Shalee Baloch further stated that the situation has been aggravated by collective punishment against the family. She referred to an incident last year in which Zahid Baloch’s brother, Shahjan Baloch, was reportedly killed in an attack attributed to a state-backed armed group, raising concerns about the safety of the family and a pattern of intimidation.

She added that in Balochistan many educated and politically active voices continue to face repression, with some individuals still missing while others remain behind bars.

Dr. Shalee Baloch concluded her message by renewing calls for justice and accountability regarding the disappearance of Zahid and Asad Baloch.
