Multan, Pakistan: The human rights wing of the Baloch National Movement, PAANK, has expressed grave concern over the enforced disappearances of three men from Multan Tibba on 14 February 2026. The victims include Ghulam Din Buzdar, 37, a local businessman, M. Ismail Buzdar, a labourer and M. Lateef Buzdar, a 20-year-old labourer.
According to PAANK, all three men were reportedly taken into custody by personnel identified as members of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) at approximately 8:00 PM. Witnesses and family members stated that the detentions were carried out without arrest warrants or any legal justification. Since the abductions, the whereabouts of the three men remain unknown, leaving their families in severe distress and uncertainty.
“These incidents raise serious human rights concerns and reflect a continued pattern of enforced disappearances in the region,” PAANK said in a statement. “The families of Ghulam Din, M. Ismail, and M. Lateef Buzdar deserve to know the whereabouts of their loved ones and to see them released safely.”
PAANK strongly condemned the abductions and called on authorities to conduct a transparent investigation, ensure the immediate safe release of the victims, or present them before a court of law if any charges exist. The organization urged that the protection of civilians and adherence to the rule of law must remain a top priority.
The incident highlights ongoing human rights violations in Baloch-populated areas and underscores the urgent need for accountability and legal oversight.
