QUETTA: The protest camp established by the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) against enforced disappearances in Balochistan has completed 6,095 consecutive days outside the Quetta Press Club under the leadership of Chairman Nasrullah Baloch.
On this occasion, the mother of forcibly disappeared Naimatullah, along with the young daughter, mother, and grandfather of Mahmood Ali Langov, participated in the protest and recorded their demonstration against the enforced disappearance of their loved ones.
The families said their peaceful protest is aimed at reaching higher authorities so that justice may be provided in accordance with the country’s laws and they may be freed from the prolonged suffering caused by the disappearance of their relatives.
Speaking at the camp, VBMP Chairman Nasrullah Baloch stated that families of the forcibly disappeared continue to appear before relevant institutions seeking justice while also maintaining their peaceful protest. He expressed regret that, despite these efforts, no meaningful relief has been provided, leaving families in severe mental anguish. He termed enforced disappearances a grave violation of fundamental human rights.
He called upon the government and heads of state institutions to take practical steps to completely end enforced disappearances and to ensure the safe recovery of all missing persons, including Mahmood Ali Lango and Naimatullah, so that their families may finally find relief from years of distress.
