QUETTA: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) on Thursday rejected Pakistan military’s latest claims regarding the conclusion of Operation Herof 2.0, stating that the operation has entered its sixth consecutive day and remains ongoing.
In a media statement, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch dismissed the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) assertions as “another chapter of lies,” saying the operation continues with what he described as “full determination, consistency, and military success.”
He stated that any announcement regarding the conclusion of Operation Herof 2.0 would be made solely by the BLA itself.
“The recent ISPR press release is merely a continuation of the falsehoods that began on the very first day of Operation Herof,” the statement said. “On day one, the occupying state claimed it had ended the operation and eliminated all attackers. This claim has been repeated daily for six days, with each statement contradicting the previous one.”
The BLA claimed that Pakistan’s military is facing setbacks not only on the battlefield but also in what it described as the “narrative domain.”
The statement further said that while the BLA publicly releases the names and photographs of its fallen fighters, the Pakistani military conceals casualties among its personnel, burying them without disclosure. It also accused the state of killing forcibly disappeared persons and presenting them as militants to support what it called a false narrative.
According to the BLA, daily ISPR claims of killing fighters are aimed at masking military failures and corruption, as well as concealing enforced disappearances and alleged torture practices.
The group also claimed it has received widespread support from the local population during the operation, including what it termed intelligence cooperation and moral backing.
The statement reiterated that the conclusion of Operation Herof 2.0 would be announced exclusively by the BLA and would be accompanied by what it described as verifiable evidence, including territorial control, intelligence gains, and enemy withdrawals.
The group said it has already released images and videos showing areas under its control, destroyed military posts, and seized equipment.
