QUETTA: Despite bone-chilling cold weather in Quetta, the protest camp organized by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) against enforced disappearances in Balochistan continued on Friday in front of the Quetta Press Club. Led by the organization’s chairman, Nasrullah Baloch, the protest has now entered its 6,057th day.
On this occasion, VBMP Central Secretary Hooran Baloch, other leaders of the organization, and family members of missing persons were also present. Despite the harsh winter conditions, the demonstrators held a strong protest in support of their demands.
VBMP leaders demanded an immediate end to enforced disappearances in Balochistan and called for a complete halt to incidents in which missing Baloch individuals are killed in fake encounters through extrajudicial means. They stressed the need to ensure the immediate and safe recovery of all missing persons.
The organization stated that their protest would continue until the missing persons are recovered and justice is provided. According to VBMP, the protest is being carried out to uphold human rights, ensure the rule of law, and relieve affected families from the suffering caused by enforced disappearances.
