Quetta: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks carried out across different areas of Balochistan, saying that ten Pakistani military personnel were killed in separate incidents in Jhao, Barkahan, Tump and Turbat.

In a statement issued by BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, said its fighters ambushed a Pakistani military convoy at around 1:00 PM on December 28 in the Jhao area of Sidh. According to the statement, the attack occurred when an army foot patrol, a bomb disposal squad, and a military pickup vehicle converged at the same location. BLF claimed that its fighters opened fire from close range, killing eight personnel on the spot and critically wounding three others. The group further said that an armored vehicle assigned to protect the convoy withdrew from the scene, leaving behind the dead and wounded.

The statement said that Pakistani forces have not disclosed the casualties in order to maintain troop morale, adding that video footage of the attack would be released later.

In another incident, BLF claimed that its fighters targeted a military camp near Srati-Tik in the Rakhni area of Barkahan on the night of December 28. According to the group, heavy weapons, including rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), were used in the attack. BLF alleged that two military personnel were killed and one was wounded as a result.

The group also reported an attack on a Pakistani forces checkpoint in the Gomazi area of Tump at around 2:00 PM on the same day. BLF stated that its fighters fired multiple A1 shells at the checkpoint, which landed inside the camp, causing casualties and material damage. No official confirmation of losses has been issued by authorities.

Additionally, BLF claimed responsibility for a hand grenade attack carried out at approximately 8:20 PM on December 27 at the main gate of a Pakistani Navy camp in Turbat, the central city of district Kech. According to the statement, Navy personnel suffered casualties and material losses, after which security forces increased patrols in the area.

The Balochistan Liberation Front claimed overall responsibility for the alleged killing of ten Pakistani military personnel in these attacks and reiterated its stance that it would continue armed actions against Pakistani forces. Pakistani authorities have not issued any official response confirming or denying the claims made by the group.
