Kech: Four members of the same family, including two women, have been forcibly disappeared in Balochistan’s Kech district, prompting their families to block the CPEC road and stage a protest sit-in against the actions of Pakistani forces.

According to the families, the disappeared individuals have been identified as Farid Ijaz, Sanaullah Dalwash, Hani Dalwash, and Gul Nisa Wahid. Relatives stated that Hani Dalwash and Gul Nisa Wahid were taken into custody by Pakistani forces from the industrial city of Hub Chowki, while Farid Ijaz and Sanaullah Dalwash were detained from Kech district.

The families further revealed that Gul Nisa Wahid, also known among relatives as Hair Nisa, is 17 years old and a first-year college student. She had been in Hub Chowki during her summer vacations when she was detained. Meanwhile, Hani Dalwash is eight months pregnant, raising serious concerns for her health and safety.

Protesters demanded that all detained individuals be immediately produced before the public and presented in court if any charges exist against them. They termed the detentions illegal and described them as cases of enforced disappearance.

Due to the sit-in, traffic on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) road has been completely suspended. Demonstrators warned that the protest will continue until the safe recovery of their loved ones is ensured.

The incident has intensified public anger and anxiety in the region, as cases of enforced disappearances particularly involving women and minors continue to rise across Balochistan.
