Islamabad: The sit-in by the Baloch Students Council at Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU) Islamabad entered its seventh day today, as students continued to demand the recovery of Saeed Baloch, who has been subjected to enforced disappearance.
Students say they have been staging the protest inside the campus for an entire week, yet neither the university administration nor the Islamabad authorities have taken any concrete steps to address their concerns.
According to the protesters, the administration is “persistently employing delay tactics and pressure-based policies.” They state that the report that was supposed to be presented to the Baloch students by 28 November 2025 has still not been submitted, while the scheduled 1 December hearing for Saeed Baloch’s case was postponed without explanation.
Representatives of the Baloch Students Council claim that the delays and obstructions are “not coincidental but part of a deliberate policy aimed at silencing student voices.” They added that such measures will not deter them.
The students have announced that they will not allow academic and administrative activities at the university to continue as normal until their demands are met. They asserted that full responsibility for the situation rests with the QAU administration and the Islamabad authorities.
