Khuzadr: The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has strongly condemned the ongoing military siege and operations in Zehri, Khuzdar District, calling them severe violations of human rights and international law.
In a statement, the BYC reported that Pakistani forces have carried out airstrikes, enforced disappearances and attacks on ordinary Baloch civilians in the area.
According to verified field reports, on October 5, 2025, Pakistani forces conducted indiscriminate airstrikes in Zehri, resulting in the deaths of five innocent civilians, including women and children and injuries to three others. Among the deceased were two sons and a nephew of Manzoor Ahmed, as well as an elderly woman, Bibi Rahima and her son. Two of Bibi Rahima’s children were severely injured and hospitalized.
The BYC noted that due to a complete military blockade and communications blackout in Zehri, information about these incidents only emerged over a week later. The humanitarian situation in the area is reportedly deteriorating rapidly, and the local population is facing severe hardships.
Earlier, on October 1, 2025, a similar Pakistani airstrike killed five civilians and injured five more, including Amna Bibi (40), wife of Sanaullah Baloch, Lal Bibi (41), wife of Ali Akbar and Muhammad Hasan (30), son of Yaqub.
The BYC emphasized that the situation in Zehri is growing increasingly severe each day, with collective punishments, indiscriminate attacks and human rights violations representing a blatant breach of international humanitarian and moral law.
The committee warned that if the ongoing operations are not halted immediately, Zehri could face a major humanitarian catastrophe, as civilians continue to suffer under relentless airstrikes and military siege.
The BYC urged that the military operations in Zehri be stopped immediately, the blockade lifted, and that the international community, human rights organizations, and global media take urgent notice and hold Pakistan accountable for atrocities against the Baloch population.
