BNM Holds Protest in Germany, Accuses Global Powers of Supporting Pakistan’s Colonial Policies

Bonn, Germany: The Baloch National Movement (BNM) organized a protest demonstration in the German city of Bonn against enforced disappearances, state violence and human rights violations in Balochistan. Participants demanded that the international community speak out against Pakistan’s atrocities, stop what they termed as Baloch genocide, ensure transparent investigations into human rights abuses, and take effective measures to protect victims and their families.

“Despite immense potential, Balochistan remains a victim of colonial oppression,” speakers said.

Addressing the protesters, speakers strongly criticized the indifference of the international community and the role of powerful nations in Balochistan. They said that Balochistan is the homeland of the Baloch nation, rich in natural resources and strategically located on key global trade routes. Yet, despite its potential, the region remains under colonial-style domination and its people are systematically deprived of their political, social and economic rights.

“Global powers, driven by expansionist ambitions, continue to support Pakistan’s colonial rule in Balochistan to exploit its vast natural resources,” the speakers alleged.

They further stated that Baloch citizens are being forcibly disappeared, with many later found dead and mutilated in remote areas. Entire villages, they said, are being targeted through ground and aerial operations. Despite these grave violations, the United Nations, European Union and other international institutions remain silent, a stance they called a betrayal of global human rights values.

“Pakistan’s repression destroys not just individuals, but entire communities,” speakers said.

The speakers added that families of the victims of enforced disappearances live in constant fear and psychological distress. Whenever they raise their voices, they face harassment, intimidation and threats, forcing them into silence. “This oppression is not limited to individuals, it devastates whole communities,” they said.

Among those who addressed the protest were BNM Germany General Secretary Jabar Baloch, along with Habib Baloch, Luqman Baloch, Asif Baloch, Sharik, Hammad Baloch, Waleed Baloch, Wajahat Baloch, Sheeran Baloch, Hania Baloch, Sarah Baloch, Ume Baloch, and Akbar Sabz Baloch.
