Awaran: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for an attack targeting a dam construction company and surveillance equipment in Pirandar, Jhagro area of Awaran, on the night of September 6.
In a statement issued by BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, the group said that its fighters attacked the company’s heavy machinery around 10:00 PM, completely destroying all equipment. The dam, he said, was being constructed under the supervision of the Pakistani army to supply water to military installations in the region.
According to the statement, the attack resulted in a fire that engulfed all machinery, while three large surveillance cameras installed by the army for security monitoring were also shot down and destroyed.
Major Gwahram Baloch added that the BLF takes full responsibility for the operation and warned all companies and contractors working under the supervision of the Pakistani military on construction and exploitative projects in Balochistan to cease their involvement immediately.
