Quetta: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for three separate attacks in Buleda, Mashkay and Dasht, in which six members of Pakistan’s army and military intelligence were killed and two others seriously wounded.
BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said in a statement that on September 27, fighters targeted a Pakistani military convoy in Gili, Buleda. An improvised explosive device (IED) struck two motorcycles, killing three soldiers, identified as Naik Saad, Sepoy Asad and Sepoy Ismail, and leaving another critically injured.
Later the same day, BLF fighters attacked a military checkpoint in the Miani Kalat area of Mashkay with heavy weapons, killing two personnel and wounding one.
In a separate incident on September 26, the group said its fighters executed Gulab, son of Jamal, a resident of Dasht Surok, an operative of Pakistan’s Military Intelligence. According to the BLF, Gulab had infiltrated the organization under the guise of pro-freedom activism but confessed under interrogation to long-term collaboration with the military, including receiving regular payments. The group claimed it obtained valuable information before his execution.
The BLF said it “accepts full responsibility” for the operations and warned of further attacks against Pakistani forces and their collaborators. The statement also urged Baloch youth enrolled in military-run institutions not to join what it described as a “colonial army,” calling instead for support of the Baloch national struggle.
