
The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has announced that it has taken a serving Pakistani army personnel into its custody.
In a statement issued to the media, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said that on September 8, 2025, BLF fighters carried out a raid in Dasht Umar Dhur, near Mastung, during which Muhammad Hanif, son of Abdul Ghani and a resident of Dhadar, was detained. According to the spokesperson, Hanif is a serving member of the Pakistani military.
The BLF said that preliminary interrogation of the captured soldier has been completed, but the group will announce its decision after a thorough investigation of the communication devices recovered from him.
The spokesperson further claimed that documents seized during the interrogation confirmed that Muhammad Hanif was first posted in Sibi after joining the Pakistani army and had recently been transferred to Mastung.
The BLF reiterated that the detention of Muhammad Hanif has been formally declared and any future decision regarding him will be communicated to the Baloch nation through the media.
