
Armed assailants targeted Pakistani security forces and a mineral transport vehicle in separate incidents across Balochistan’s Kech, Kalat and Mastung.
According to reports, in Kech Tump area near Nazarabad, unidentified attackers struck a vehicle in a security forces’ convoy with an explosive device. The blast destroyed the vehicle, leaving several personnel dead and injured.
Local sources said that Baloch militants had set up a blockade on the road and detonated the explosive as the forces advanced. However, officials have not released further details regarding casualties or damage.
Meanwhile, in Kalat’s Shekhari and Morgand areas, security forces came under ambush attacks. The extent of losses in those incidents remains unclear.
In another incident in Mastung, armed men opened fire on the tires of a vehicle transporting minerals, causing damage to the vehicle.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the series of attacks.
