
Harnai, Balochistan; The family of Hafiz Muhammad Dawood, who has been missing for more than three years, has appealed to national and international human rights organizations for his safe recovery.
According to family members, Dawood, son of Gulbaran and a resident of Spin Tangi, Harnai, was taken into custody by personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC) and Military Intelligence (MI) from his home on April 27, 2022 and has since remained forcibly disappeared.
Despite the passage of over three years, there has been no information regarding his whereabouts. His family says the disappearance has caused them immense psychological, social and financial distress. His mother is reportedly suffering from mental health issues and illness due to her son’s disappearance, while the rest of the family continues to endure severe hardship. Educational activities have been disrupted and the family’s economic condition is steadily worsening.
The family has called on national and international human rights organizations, as well as civil society, to raise the issue and ensure the dignified and safe recovery of Hafiz Muhammad Dawood.
