
Reports have emerged of multiple drone strikes in eastern Afghanistan last night, targeting different areas of Khost and Nangarhar provinces.
According to local sources and eyewitnesses, civilians were affected in the attacks, including women and children.
Local sources reported that in the Sirkhak area of Spera district in Khost, a residential house was struck by a drone, resulting in the deaths of three children on the spot.
Similarly, drone strikes were carried out in the 29th Canal area of Ghani Khel district and in Shinwari district of Nangarhar. However, the exact number of casualties and damage in those areas has not yet been confirmed.
Afghan journalists reported that drones have been observed flying over these regions for several times. Residents said that last night they heard successive explosions, which they believe were drone strikes.
So far, the Afghan government has not released any official details regarding the incidents.
