Protest Walk Outside Karachi Press Club for Recovery of Zahid Ali Baloch

It has been one month since the enforced disappearance of Zahid Ali Baloch, yet he has not been recovered. In protest, his family has been running a sit-in camp outside the Karachi Press Club for the past twenty days.

The family says Zahid Ali is being subjected to mental and physical torture while state institutions have played no role in his recovery. In this context, on Sunday, the family organized a protest walk outside the Karachi Press Club.

The walk was attended by human rights organizations, civil society members, students, political activists and a large number of citizens. Protesters raised slogans and demanded the immediate recovery of the disappeared youth.

Speaking at the event, Zahid Ali’s father, Hameed Baloch, said that his son is innocent and his enforced disappearance is a clear violation of the constitution and law. He demanded that Zahid Ali be brought before the public immediately and provided justice.
