In Tump, a tehsil of Kech district in Balochistan, armed members of a Pakistan Army-backed death squad opened fire and killed a young man.
According to sources, armed men in a vehicle fired repeatedly at a youth in Konshkalat area between Asr and Maghrib prayers. As a result, Akmal, son of Saleh and resident of Konshkalat, was killed on the spot.
Local sources said the attackers were members of army-backed death squad and the young man was targeted in a planned killing.
It should be noted that this year, incidents of Baloch youth being targeted by the Pakistan Army and its supported death squads have increased. According to PAANK’s report, in July alone at least 96 people were forcibly disappeared and 19 were killed in extrajudicial killings.
