Families of Baloch Missing Persons Continue Sit-ins in Karachi and Islamabad

Karachi: Zahid Baloch was subjected to enforced disappearance on July 17, 2025 and today marks 28 days since he went missing. According to his family, Zahid Baloch remains missing and there has been no trace of him.

For the past nine days, a protest camp has been ongoing in front of the Karachi Press Club, where demonstrators are registering their protest through placards and banners.

Meanwhile, the sit-in by BYC and families of victims of enforced disappearances continues in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, entering its 29th consecutive day today. Protesters say they remain steadfast, hopeful and determined in their demands.

According to participants, despite threats and harassment from both uniformed and plainclothes personnel, the spirit of Baloch youth and the unwavering resolve of the mothers has not weakened. Protesters have called on the government and human rights organizations to ensure the immediate recovery of all forcibly disappeared persons and the release of BYC leadership.
