Kech: The body of a young man abducted by members of an armed group known locally as the “death squad,” reportedly operating with the backing of Pakistani security forces, has been recovered.
According to sources, the deceased has been identified as Liaquat, son of Sakhi Dad, a resident of Shapkol. He was abducted August 10 from his garage shop by members of the death squad. His body, bearing severe signs of torture, was found yesterday in the Josak area of Turbat.
Reports indicate that Liaquat Baloch had been living in Kolwah for some time before moving to Turbat, where he was engaged in the vehicle oil trade.
It is noteworthy that he had previously been subjected to enforced disappearance on January 2, 2023, by Pakistani security forces and was released later after reportedly being tortured.
