The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for five operations carried out in different regions of Balochistan, targeting police personnel, death squad members and communication systems.
According to a statement issued to media by BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, on July 29, BLF fighters attacked and inflicted heavy damage on a communication tower and related machinery in the Zamuran.
In another incident, acting on intelligence from the BLF’s covert wing, BLF fighters targeted and killed death squad operative Tauheed Shafiq on the night of July 30 around 9 PM in the Shahrak area of Turbat. The statement noted that Tauheed was the brother of Sunil alias Daroo, a former surrendering militant. The two brothers were reportedly assisting Pakistani forces in operations involving the enforced disappearance and alleged killing of Baloch youth, which the group described as part of a broader pattern of ethnic violence.
On August 1, BLF fighters carried out a third operation in Askani Bazaar, a locality in central Turbat, based on fresh intelligence. In this incident, Sher Jan, son of Kachkol and a resident of Kolwah (currently living in Askani Bazaar), was shot dead, and his brother was injured. The group claimed that Sher Jan had been actively aiding Pakistani forces for over five years, participating in raids on BLF hideouts and alleged involvement in the forced disappearances of local youth in Turbat and Kolwah.
Later, in Nushki, around 8 PM on the same night, BLF operatives carried out two attacks. In the first, a hand grenade was hurled at Qadirabad Police Station, causing a loud explosion. In the second attack, surveillance cameras installed by Pakistani forces to monitor civilian movement in the city’s central market were damaged.
The BLF claimed full responsibility for all these actions, stating that they were part of their ongoing campaign against what they describe as occupation forces and collaborators in Balochistan.
