Quetta: The Quetta Bar Association held a press conference at the Quetta Kacheri Bar Room, strongly condemning the enforced disappearance of Advocate Hakim Baloch. The association issued a 24-hour ultimatum to the relevant state authorities, demanding his immediate release.
During the press conference, representatives announced that if Hakim Baloch is not recovered within 24 hours, the legal community will adopt a firm course of action. This may include protest demonstrations, a complete boycott of court proceedings, and the use of other legal and constitutional avenues.
Bar representatives stated that enforced disappearances are a blatant violation of the Constitution and the law. They warned that if such unlawful practices are not brought to an end, the protest strategy will escalate, with multiple phases of resistance to be implemented.
A complete strike of court proceedings in Quetta has also been announced for tomorrow.
