Quetta: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for three separate attacks in the Balochistan regions of Hoshab, Zamuran, and Kalat, which resulted in the deaths of four security personnel and damage to military assets and equipment belonging to a construction company.
In a statement issued to the media, BLA spokesperson Jeand Baloch said that the group’s fighters targeted the Pakistani military, its supply lines, and a “plundering” construction company during coordinated operations.
According to the BLA, militants took control of a Levies check post in Gondsarain, located in the Hoshab area of Kech district, detaining all personnel stationed at the facility. Another group of fighters reportedly established roadblocks along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route, maintaining a blockade for several hours.
The spokesperson claimed that during the standoff, the Pakistani military deployed surveillance drones (quadcopters), one of which was allegedly shot down by BLA fighters. A military convoy attempting to advance was ambushed, resulting in the destruction of a vehicle and the death of four personnel, with several others injured.
In a separate incident, the group said its fighters set fire to heavy machinery belonging to a road construction company operating in the Manguchar area of Kalat, specifically at a site called Zard Abdullah.
Additionally, the BLA reported that its operatives carried out a remote-controlled IED attack near the Gheshtgan area of Zamuran, targeting a supply truck believed to be transporting provisions for the Pakistani military. The truck was reportedly destroyed in the explosion.
The Pakistani military has yet to issue an official statement regarding these incidents.
