In Sorab, a young man, Zakir Hussain, son of Amir Bakhsh Reki and a resident of Surkh, succumbed to gunshot wounds after being critically injured in a targeted shooting near Muslim Hotel on the RCD highway. He was initially taken to Sorab Civil Hospital and later referred to Quetta due to the severity of his injuries, but passed away en route.
Police collected forensic evidence from the scene and have registered a case, although the motive behind the attack remains unknown.
In a separate incident, in the Malikabad area of Tump, Kech, motorcycle-borne gunmen opened fire on a man identified as Didag, son of Dad Rehman, killing him on the spot. The assailants fled immediately after the attack. Local sources said that the motive for the killing is still unclear, and police have initiated an investigation.
Meanwhile, in Noshki, a body was discovered in the Gari area and was transferred to Noshki Teaching Hospital for identification and examination. The deceased was later identified as Abdul Rasheed, son of Noor Mohammad, a resident of Qadirabad. According to police, the condition of the body suggests possible foul play, although the exact cause of death is yet to be determined.
