The spokesperson of the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), Major Gwahram Baloch, issued a statement to the media claiming responsibility for recent attacks on Pakistani forces and a communication tower in Quetta and Kharan.
According to the statement, on the night of June 13 at around 8:30 PM, BLF fighters launched multiple rocket-propelled grenades at a checkpoint of the Pakistani paramilitary Frontier Corps near Dasht, Umar Dhore, an area adjacent to Quetta. Two of the rockets reportedly hit specific targets inside the post, causing chaos. A second BLF unit then launched a follow-up attack with heavy weapons. As a result, three enemy personnel were killed and five injured, according to the spokesperson.
In retaliation, Pakistani forces allegedly fired mortar shells indiscriminately into civilian areas and opened heavy fire, but reportedly did not pursue the BLF fighters. During the same operation, BLF fighters also targeted a Telenor telecommunications tower nearby, setting its machinery on fire and conducting patrols and checkpoints throughout the night in the area.
The statement further added that on the morning of June 14 at around 8:45 AM, BLF fighters set up a checkpoint on the Kharan–CPEC Link Road near Sargardan. During snap checks, they inspected vehicles and stopped those suspected of delivering supplies to Pakistani forces, issuing warnings before allowing them to proceed.
The Balochistan Liberation Front has officially claimed responsibility for both the Dasht and Kharan operations.
