Balochistan: The spokesperson of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Jeeyand Baloch, has said that nine of their fighters (sarmachars) embraced martyrdom while fifteen Pakistani military personnel were killed in various clashes over recent days.
On Monday, June 2, a confrontation erupted between BLA fighters and the occupying Pakistani forces in the Mach area of Bolan while the sarmachars were traveling for organizational purposes. The clash began at Guni Para and intensified when the Pakistani military deployed commandos via helicopters. The battle lasted for hours and resulted in the death of at least eight enemy personnel. Meanwhile, five BLA sarmachars attained martyrdom: Sangat Washdal alias Mash Mar, Sangat Samiullah alias Sagar, Sangat Shehryar alias Chairman, Sangat Sajawal alias Cheeda, and Sangat Nadir alias Chiragh.
The spokesperson stated that Sangat Washdal alias Mash Mar, son of Lal Khan Sumalani, hailed from Sanjwal, Bolan. At the young age of twenty, he joined the BLA in 2024, taking up arms for the national cause. He played a significant role on the Bolan front and ultimately sacrificed his life while inflicting a heavy blow to the enemy.
He further said that Sangat Samiullah (alias Sameer), Sangat Shehryar (alias Chairman), and Sangat Sajawal (alias Cheeda) all three hailed from Padingabad, Mastung, joined the BLA a year ago and participated in several successful guerrilla operations as urban fighters. These dedicated young men, always active in inflicting damage on the enemy and fulfilling organizational responsibilities, have become a source of inspiration for Baloch youth.
Sangat Nadir alias Chiragh, son of Mazar Khan Lehri, was originally from Narmuk, Kalat, but resided in Quetta. He was known for his discipline, vigilance, and fearless stance against the enemy. He remained steadfast in his duties until his last breath.
The spokesperson added that on the night of Friday, June 6, Pakistani forces advanced toward Splinji, Maro, and Phul in Mastung. This triggered clashes with BLA fighters that continued until morning. In these confrontations, at least seven enemy soldiers were killed and several others wounded. Two BLA sarmachars, Sangat Zafran alias Khalil and Sangat Sana alias Angel, were martyred.
Sangat Zafran alias Khalil, son of Ismail Sumalani, was from Peer Ismail Marwar, Bolan. On the night of June 8, Sangat Waseem Kashani alias Chiragh was martyred during an IED operation in Bonistan, Panjgur. The blast occurred while he was planting an explosive device to target enemy movements. Sangat Waseem, son of Haji Mohammad Akbar Kashani, held a master’s degree in social work and had previously served in the state paramilitary force, Levies. In 2021, he chose the path of rebellion and joined the BLA. Over five years, he operated as a clandestine urban guerrilla, participating in several covert missions against the enemy while maintaining secrecy about his identity and activities.
