BNM’s Training Workshop in the UK – May 28 Nuclear Tests Exposed as Part of Baloch Genocide

The Baloch National Movement (BNM) organized a training workshop in the UK focused on the implications of Pakistan’s nuclear tests conducted on May 28, 1998 in Balochistan, and their impact on the Baloch nation. A large number of party members participated in the event.

On this occasion, the speakers stated that Pakistan has neither attempted to clean up the affected areas nor released any research reports regarding the effects of radiation. On the contrary, to this day, no independent body has been allowed to investigate or inspect these areas, which makes the entire issue mysterious and non-transparent.

These nuclear tests were carried out in a colonial manner, against the will of the Baloch nation.

The workshop highlighted that these tests were not limited to scientific or defensive purposes, but were part of a systematic and silent genocide on Baloch soil. These nuclear experiments were conducted entirely in a colonial fashion, using Baloch land as a testing ground, while pushing the Baloch people toward disease, poverty, and environmental destruction.

The event was hosted by BNM UK Chapter Secretary Kambar Bakhshi and Dostain Baloch, while Saleem Baloch, Yousuf Baloch, Ahmed Baloch, Bilal Baloch, Bijar Ali, Ghaffar Baloch, and Shoaib Naimat shared their insights on the topic.
