Quetta: Chairman of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), Dr. Naseem Baloch, has strongly condemned the enforced disappearance of Baloch student Mahjabeen Baloch, stating that Mahjabeen, a young girl from Besima, Washuk, was forcibly taken by Pakistani forces in Quetta. This is a cruel and shocking act, yet it is not unprecedented. Such forced disappearances occur on a daily basis in Balochistan. The Pakistani army and paramilitary forces routinely detain and forcibly disappear individuals, many of whom are never seen again.
He stated that enforced disappearance constitutes a grave violation under international law, yet Pakistan continues to perpetrate this crime repeatedly.
He further remarked that the world remains silent, and it is this silence that emboldens Pakistan to persist in committing such atrocities. The international community must recall the events of 1971, when Pakistan carried out genocide against the Bengalis. Today, similar injustices are unfolding in Balochistan.
In conclusion, Dr. Naseem Baloch emphasized that the time has come for the world to raise its voice against this ongoing oppression.
