According to reports from Lorlai in Balochistan, Pakistani forces have killed four individuals in another staged (fake) encounter. The victims reportedly belonged to the tribal region of Barthi in the Koh-e-Sulaiman area and were members of the Buzdar tribe.
Sources claim that these individuals had been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces some time ago. The youth killed in the incident have been identified as Akbar Buzdar, Suleman Buzdar, Malik Ahmed Buzdar, and Bakht Mohammad Buzdar.
Local sources allege that the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) carried out the fake encounter last night, killing the men. After the killings, weapons and Kalashnikovs were reportedly placed beside their bodies to portray them as terrorists.
Across Balochistan, such alleged fake encounters by Pakistani forces continue, with a surge in extrajudicial killings of previously forcibly disappeared persons.
According to recent reports, a few days ago in Barkahan, forces killed three individuals in a fake encounter. Following that, in Awaran, Pakistani forces raided homes and opened fire, killing two people, including a woman, and seriously injuring another woman. In protest against these incidents, a complete shutter-down strike is being observed in Awaran today.
