In another instance of violence in Balochistan, two civilians were reportedly killed and a woman seriously injured during a nighttime raid by Pakistani forces in the Machhi area of Awaran.
Local sources said the incident occurred late last night, around 1 a.m., when Pakistani forces launched a sudden raid on multiple homes in Malaar Machhi. During the operation, residents resisted the arrests, prompting security forces to open indiscriminate fire.
As a result, a young man, Naeem Baloch son of Sanjar Baloch, and an elderly woman, Hoori daughter of Qasim, were killed on the spot. Naeem’s mother, Dadi Baloch, was critically injured during the assault.
Tragically, the wounded woman was reportedly denied medical treatment throughout the night and was only taken to the Awaran hospital the following morning in critical condition.
This incident marks the fourth violent raid in the Malaar area within just one week. A total of five civilians have lost their lives in Awaran during this period at the hands of Pakistani forces, highlighting a troubling pattern of state violence and extrajudicial killings.
The ongoing operations have sparked widespread fear and mourning among the local population, raising serious concerns about human rights violations and the indiscriminate use of force against unarmed civilians in Balochistan.
