KECH: The Baloch National Movement (BNM) distributed pamphlets in various areas of Kech district last night to raise awareness against Pakistan’s nuclear tests conducted in Chaghi on May 28, 1998.
According to sources, the pamphlets highlighted the devastating impact of the nuclear tests carried out in the Ras Koh mountain range of Chaghi district and the long-term consequences they have had on the people of Balochistan.
BNM activists reportedly distributed the pamphlets in several areas, including Kalatuk, Shay Kahn, Nodiz, and Nasirabad.
May 28 is observed as a Black Day by the Baloch people, who consider the nuclear tests a symbol of oppression. The tests not only destroyed the natural environment but also exposed future generations to life-threatening diseases and toxic living conditions.
