Families of the youths forcibly disappeared from Pasni held a press conference at the Pasni Press Club, stating that their children were abducted 20 to 25 days ago.
The missing youths include Asif Ibrahim, Adnan Haider, Hidayatullah Inayat, Shohaz Inayat, Noman Mukhtar, and Sameer Ameer. According to the families, their children were picked up in broad daylight without any charges or evidence.
They said that since the abductions, they have been suffering extreme mental distress. They have received no information about the whereabouts of their children, nor have they been informed of any charges or legal grounds for their detention.
The families demanded that if their children are accused of any crime, they should be presented in court. Otherwise, they must be released immediately.
At the end of the press conference, the families warned that if their children are not recovered soon, they will join with other affected families and indefinitely block Pasni Zero Point in protest.
Representatives from the Balochistan Progressive Society, Anjuman-e-Tajiran (Traders’ Union), Pasni Civil Society, and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam were also present at the occasion to express solidarity.
