Reports from Turbat, Gwadar, Awaran, Quetta, Noshki, and surrounding areas confirm that at least 10 individuals have been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces over the past week.
Around 3 AM last night, Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies raided the home of political activist Mahjabeen and forcibly abducted her young son, Aimal, son of Aurangzeb. Aimal is a student in the 8th grade. During the raid, forces also seized the mobile phones of guests present at the house.
On May 21, in the Turbat area of Kech district, Pakistani forces abducted Zambad driver Mohibullah, son of Muhammad Ali, after taking him into custody. Mohibullah is reportedly a resident of Sehar Gishkor. His family has demanded his immediate release.
On the same day, in Gwadar’s Dorr area, forces raided a home and forcibly took away Hamal, son of Shaukat. According to the family, valuable belongings were also stolen during the raid.
In the Kangarai area of Jhao, Awaran, Sultan, son of Khair Bakhsh, has been missing for two days. He is feared to have been detained and forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces.
Meanwhile, three individuals Hussain Ahmed, son of Abdul Ghafoor; Muhammad Ramzan, son of Abdul Ghafoor; and Muhammad Dawood, son of Abdul Haq disappeared while traveling from Chaghi to Noshki. Their mobile phones have been switched off, and their families fear for their safety. It is suspected that they, too, have been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces.
On May 14, Pir Dad Hakeem and Sadiq Wajdad were detained and disappeared by Pakistani forces while traveling from Gadagi Kilkor to Kolwah.
It is important to note that enforced disappearances by Pakistani forces continue across Balochistan. Reports of abductions are received daily, and in some cases, the forcibly disappeared are later found dead.
