The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a bomb attack targeting Pakistani military forces in the Buleda region of Balochistan. According to the BLF spokesperson, Major Gwahram Baloch, the incident took place at approximately 1:00 PM on May 21, 2025.
In a statement released to the media, the BLF said its fighters carried out an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) attack on two military motorcycles escorting a convoy tasked with providing security for the construction of the Buleda-Zamran road. The blast destroyed one motorcycle and resulted in the immediate death of two Pakistani soldiers.
The BLF reiterated its opposition to the construction of what it termed an “exploitative” road project, accusing it of serving military and colonial interests. The group issued a warning to contractors involved in the project to cease work immediately or face future attacks. They also threatened to target construction machinery and personnel if the project continues.
The Pakistani authorities have not yet issued a statement confirming the attack or casualties.
