BLF Claims Responsibility for Attacks in Mastung and Jhao, Killing Three Pakistani Soldiers

The Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for two separate attacks carried out on May 16, 2025, targeting Pakistani forces and officials in different parts of Balochistan.

In a statement to the media, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch confirmed that Baloch Freddom fighters (Sarmachar) conducted a grenade attack on the residence of the Deputy Commissioner in Mastung city at approximately 5 PM. The BLF stated that the attack was a warning to the DC, who they accuse of collaborating with Pakistan’s military and intelligence agencies. According to the BLF, the Deputy Commissioner, as head of the district administration, must refrain from becoming a tool of the occupying forces or face severe consequences.

Later that night, around 8 PM, BLF fighters launched a coordinated assault on a Pakistani military camp in the Kooto area of Jhao. According to the BLF, the camp was targeted from two sides using rockets and heavy weaponry in a close-range attack that lasted for a significant duration. The spokesperson claimed that three Pakistani soldiers were killed and several others wounded, with loud screams reportedly heard from inside the camp during the assault.

The BLF reiterated that its armed resistance will continue until the complete independence of Balochistan is achieved.
