Kech, Balochistan – A series of coordinated attacks targeted Pakistani security forces across various regions of Balochistan, highlighting the growing intensity of armed resistance in the province.
In the Kech district’s Josak area of Turbat, unidentified armed men launched a major assault on a police station located at Board Bin. According to local sources, the attackers, numbering in significant strength, overpowered the stationed personnel, took them hostage, and seized all military-grade weapons and equipment. After looting the arsenal, the attackers set the entire station ablaze.
Meanwhile, in the Rodkan area of Kolwah, an armored vehicle belonging to Pakistani forces was completely destroyed by an improvised explosive device (IED) around 9 a.m. today. Sources reported that several personnel inside the vehicle were killed or injured, though exact casualty figures remain unconfirmed.
In a third incident, armed assailants attacked a military checkpoint in the Sira area of Jhao yesterday. Details of the attack and its casualties have not yet been released, but it appears to be part of a rising trend of organized assaults on state forces throughout Balochistan.
No group has officially claimed responsibility for these attacks so far. However, Baloch armed organizations have frequently claimed similar operations in the past. There has been a notable increase in such incidents in 2025, characterized by greater coordination and tactical execution.
