Body of Enforced Disappearance Victim Found in Mastung

Mastung, Balochistan – The body of a young man who was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces ten days ago has been recovered in the Mastung district of Balochistan.

The victim has been identified as Mohammad Fahad Lehri, son of Mohammad Iqbal Lehri. According to sources, Fahad was forcibly disappeared on May 4.

This incident adds to a disturbing trend seen across Balochistan this year, where an increasing number of victims of enforced disappearances have later been killed and falsely portrayed as militants in staged encounters. Human rights activists and families of the victims have consistently rejected these claims, labeling them as extrajudicial killings.

Throughout the current month alone, several individuals have reportedly been forcibly disappeared, and more than seven bodies have been recovered from different areas of the province.
