Panjgur: Body of Missing Person Recovered After Three Years of Enforced Disappearance

Panjgur: The bullet-riddled body of a man who had been forcibly disappeared three years ago was recovered on Sunday from the Rakhshan River in the Garmkan area of Panjgur district, Balochistan.

The body was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Panjgur, where the deceased was identified as Waheed, son of Kareem Dad, a resident of Isai Kor. Multiple bullet wounds were found on his body.

According to local sources, Waheed had been forcibly disappeared on March 31, 2021, after being detained by Pakistani security forces.

This incident adds to the ongoing series of extrajudicial killings in Balochistan. Just a day earlier, the bodies of three young men, previously reported as forcibly disappeared were recovered after reportedly being killed in a staged encounter by Pakistani forces.
