Dr. Sabhia Baloch, a central member of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, stated in a message on the social media platform X that if the issue is about road blockades, why are Baloch citizens not being allowed peaceful protests in front of the Press Club? If the enforcement of Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) is sufficient, why was the brother of Beberg imprisoned, who had no connection to politics? The unjust extension of his detention under 3MPO reflects the state’s ill intentions. If the issue is simply about raising a voice, why has my father been imprisoned for the past fifteen days, and on what charges?
She further questioned that if the issue was truly about law and justice, why have the innocent lives lost in Saryab and the civilians killed in Wadh still not received justice? If it’s just about narratives, why does the state rely on financial resources and media to promote its own narrative? Doesn’t truth rise by its own strength?
Dr. Sabhia also stated that the real issue is not just protests or narratives, but the collective genocide of the Baloch nation, which has been ongoing under a systematic state policy since day one. Every Baloch who was silently killed, every forcibly disappeared individual, bears testimony to this painful truth. State institutions are using resource control, forced disappearances, and false narratives to turn the Baloch nation into a minority on its own land.
She added that even today, when billions of rupees are being spent under the name of fifth-generation warfare, and daily conferences are held to distort the facts on media, the blood of the Baloch nation continues to speak the truth. Every body, every protest, every missing individual is proof that our genocide is being carried out but we will not remain silent.
Dr. Sabhia emphasized that the state is not concerned with individuals like Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Shahji Baloch, Beberg Baloch, or Gulzadi Baloch, but with their living, informed, and strong voices. Their unjust detention under 3MPO is a clear indication of the state’s intentions.
Finally, she said, “Our struggle is based on truth and justice. We will continue to write, speak, and expose this oppression to the world. I invite conscious people to stand with this truth. The voice of the oppressed can be silenced, but it cannot be eradicated.”
