South Korea: The Baloch National Movement (BNM) has announced a protest scheduled for April 13, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Station No. 7, Nampo-dong, Busan. The demonstration aims to raise awareness about the enforced disappearances of Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) leaders, Mahrang Baloch, Beebow Baloch, Shah Jee Baloch and other activists allegedly detained by Pakistani forces in Balochistan.
BNM has extended invitations to the Korean community and international human rights defenders to stand in solidarity with the victims. The organization emphasizes the collective responsibility to uphold justice and amplify the voices of the oppressed, highlighting that the struggle for human dignity and freedom in Balochistan is a shared moral obligation.
This protest is part of a series of global demonstrations organized by BNM to draw international attention to human rights violations in Balochistan. According to reports, these protests aim to highlight the concerning increase in enforced disappearances, arbitrary detentions of Baloch political activists, and false allegations used to suppress dissent.
The Baloch Yakjehti Committee, led by Mahrang Baloch, has been at the forefront of advocating against enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings in Balochistan. The BYC has organized numerous peaceful protests and seminars to highlight these issues, despite facing significant challenges, including the registration of FIRs against its members for organizing such events.
The upcoming protest in Busan underscores BNM’s ongoing commitment to raising international awareness about the human rights situation in Balochistan and seeking global support for their cause.
