
Quetta (Monitoring Desk): A series of tragic incidents in various parts of Balochistan on Thursday resulted in the deaths of five people, including a woman and left eight others injured.
In Kuchlak, a fatal road accident occurred on the main highway when a collision between a passenger coach and a Toyota car claimed the lives of four individuals. The crash took place under unclear circumstances, and local authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
In another incident, a woman mysteriously died aboard a passenger bus traveling from Gwadar to Karachi on the Ormara Coastal Highway. According to eyewitnesses, fellow passengers found the woman unconscious and immediately alerted the bus crew. The crew contacted the Ormara Emergency Response Center, and rescue teams promptly arrived at the scene. The woman was confirmed dead, and her body was shifted to a local hospital for preliminary medical examination. The exact cause of her death remains unknown, and authorities have initiated a detailed investigation.
Meanwhile, in the Shaho Kahn area of Panjgur, a man identified as Sagheer Ahmed, son of Haji Zahoor Ahmed and a resident of Bonistan, was seriously injured when motorcycle-riding assailants opened fire during an attempted motorcycle theft. The incident occurred when the victim reportedly failed to stop his vehicle. He was transferred to the Teaching Hospital for medical treatment, and police have launched a manhunt for the suspects.
Additionally, seven people, including five women, were injured in a separate road accident near Windar on the Quetta-Karachi N-25 highway. The incident happened at the Kohi stop when a local mini passenger bus heading from Karachi to Bela in Lasbela district suffered a tire burst due to over-speeding. The sudden loss of control led to the crash.
Rescue 1122’s medical emergency team from Windar reached the site immediately, providing first aid to the injured before transferring them to the Windar Rescue Center. From there, the victims were referred to Karachi for further treatment.
