Shal (Monitoring Desk): The Balochistan National Party (BNP) has confirmed with deep concern and outrage that state forces attacked its leaders and activists with tear gas at Lakpass Tunnel and arbitrarily arrested more than 250 party workers. The party has strongly condemned this action, calling it a brutal attempt to crush a peaceful and constitutional protest.
BNP stated that their movement is entirely peaceful and their demands are legitimate and based on humanitarian grounds. The party’s core demand remains the immediate release of Baloch women who have been illegally detained. BNP has made it clear that no negotiations, assurances, or promises will be accepted unless the detained women are released.
“The use of force, arrests, and violent crackdowns will not silence our voices. We want to send a clear message to the world that the Baloch nation will not bow down to oppression. Our unity, determination, and sacrifices will carry this struggle to its rightful destination,” said BNP leader Sardar Akhtar Mengal.
BNP has demanded the immediate release of all arrested individuals and the acceptance of their rightful demands. The party has also warned that if the situation escalates further, full responsibility will lie with the state authorities.
