Turbat: Body of Forcibly Disappeared Youth Recovered

Turbat: The body of a young man who was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces in Kech district, Balochistan, has been recovered.

The deceased has been identified as Anas Barkat.

According to reports, locals spotted the body in Kech Kor and informed the police.

Anas Barkat was a resident of Zamran and was forcibly taken into custody by Pakistani forces on October 2, 2024, from Singani Sar Chalo in Turbat. His body was found today.

It is important to note that hundreds of mutilated bodies of forcibly disappeared individuals have been recovered in the past.

Meanwhile, peaceful protests for the recovery of missing persons have been ongoing in Balochistan for over a decade.
