Quetta: The sister of Baloch leader Dr. Mahrang Baloch expressed deep concern on social media, stating that Dr. Mahrang is experiencing severe psychological distress in prison. She reported a significant decline in her sister’s health, emphasizing that she has been unwell for the past three days without access to adequate medical care.
According to Nadia Baloch, last night, Mahrang became seriously ill and suffered from repeated vomiting. Eventually, a doctor was called this morning, but the delay in medical assistance is unacceptable. “I fear that she is being deliberately kept in conditions that are worsening her health, and I am deeply concerned that her food might be poisoned.
She further stated: “This morning, I went to visit her in prison. My sister Iqra was not allowed to see her. I was only allowed to meet her for a few minutes. She looked extremely weak, sick, and fragile.”
Additionally, Mahrang has repeatedly complained about surveillance cameras, the lack of proper bedding and food, and violations of her rights as a political prisoner.
She added: “Despite these hardships, she remains strong. But she is ill, and we fear for her life. Today, internet services in Quetta have been shut down to silence our voices.”
“I urge you all to continue raising your voices for her and all detained Baloch prisoners.”
